The Death of Michael Jackson Affected People
The mere mention of his name and you will automatically know who he is. The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is one of the most recognizable stars in pop culture. Even if you did not grow up enjoying the music of the Jackson 5, “Thriller,” or “Billie Jean,” you can easily recognize the music.
The young people probably are not as strongly connected to Michael Jackson but men and women, boys and girls all know about him. A sad day for his fans is June 25. That was a heartbreaking day because that was the day we saw the life of Michael Jackson come to an end.
Los Angeles, California recognized the death of Jackson as a huge event. People guess that roughly 20,000 mourners came to LA on July 5 to attend his funeral. Friends and family performed and spoke sadly from the stage about their beloved son, brother, and friend.
Celebrities like Stevie Wonder, Usher, Queen Latifah, and John Mayer were involved in his funeral. Paris Jackson, His 11-year-old daughter, broke hearts with her sobs. She wept as she told the crowd how much she was in love with her dad.
A year after his death, devout Michael Jackson fans are still upset about the loss. There are many issues from his family that have not been handled. There are issues about his last moments alive and about his state of health.
Although those questions remain open, fans and family assemble yearly on the anniversary of the death of the King of Pop to honor him. Any profits that may come from the Forever Michael concert will always go to the Jackson Family Foundation. The celebration was planned to honor the humanitarian efforts all over the world that Michael Jackson was involved with.
Some people believe that the followers of Michael Jackson are hero-worshiping. Others believe that people are programmed to need to worship someone or something.
It does not matter if their love comes from being genetically programmed to be attracted to celebrities or from hero-worship, the fans of Michael Jackson are not going to forget his legacy and they will continue to love him year after year.
